Stamp Ccamp

So my whole week is focused on Stamp Camp! It is so exciting! We have quite  few ladies coming who have been at my classes and it will be a total delight to see them again and we have a few new faces too which is always great news!  I can’t wait to get there on Saturday and get set up and get started!

Not booked your place yet? Don’t worry…its not too late. Drop me an email and let me know you are coming so that I have a class pack prepared ready. Unfortunately your stamp set will not be there on Saturday. The cut off point for that was yesterday. But if you don’t mind waiting a week for your free set, head over on Saturday and we will get some crafting done!

Hasn’t this been a glorious week food weather! I am totally amazed each day when I head out for lunch how sunny and warm it is. And yet my thoughts have been turning to Christmas. I have begun to write the details for the Simply Stamping Christmas classes and am pretty switched on to what we are going to be up to. I have a brand new technique which can be incorporated into cards, 3d projects or one social project I am hoping to roll out as part of our Simply Stamping Christmas class. Think you would be interested? That’s great news. Just pop me an email and i will place you on our class list for that but don’t forget we will be doing More Simply Stamping before that so reserve your place now by emailing me on  I look forward to hearing from you.

Until next time don’t forget to stamp your place in the world! and see you at either our Saturday session or the Tuesday one!xxx

Stamp Camp…’s only next week!

I cannot believe how fast time flies! is it really only a week until the Stamp Camp?  I cannot believe how quickly it has come around. and it is little more than a week away! Am I ready for it? very nearly! I have one or to more sample to prepare ready but I think that pretty much all the preparation is done. All I need now is to turn up on the day and for all the ladies to turn up too!

The response has been overwhelming and there are very few spaces left now so if you havent booked your place DO IT NOW! and avoid disappointment later. Forgotten the details? no problem just head over to Special Events and the details are all there. The PayPal button for making your payment is just up there to the right of your screen.  But please remember, if you want your stamp set to be there on the day you need to book and pay for your place BEFORE midnight on 26th July, other wise you stamp set won’t be here until the following week.

And a sneak peak….

Flower power
Can u tell what it is yet?

And finally some crafting…Most of my week has been taken up with preparation for next week but I do have a couple of things to show you…

Flower Power

This was one of those moments when you feel particularly pleased with yourself! The background area was a template I made from punching out with the Decorative label punch twice close together. The remaining frame I used as a template and sponged inside of the shape. The Card stock is Whisper White and So Saffron, the Stamp set is Printed Petals and the ink is So Saffron, More Mustard,Early Esspresso and Melon Mambo with a few pearls to finish.

Right I need to get on with finishing my prep for next week so till next time remember to stamp your place in the world! x

Stamp Camp ….Christmas …. Paleo ….Preparations!

So…Stamp Camp! This is filling up fast! The response has been over whelming so if you haven’t booked your place please do it now or you will be disappointed! It is on a first come first served basis and once the class is full then I am afraid you will not get a place…and that would be a terrible shame if you missed out as I think this is going to be a really fun day.

You  can book your place over there on the right hand side using the PayPal button. Once I have your payment I will post out your invitation and your place is secured! But hurry, places are going fast – I have four places left for the Tuesday class and about a dozen left for the Saturday class so – not many at all!

And to whet your appetite in readiness, here are another couple of sneak peaks…

Turquoise bits
Bright Envelopes

So on to Christmas! I cannot believe that I am making Christmas cards in the middle of July! Can you? I had a couple of pals round crafting last weekend and was totally inspired by their brilliance.  Here is what I was inspired to make:

Christmas Star and News

This first one is made using Real Red, Old Olive CS, The Dot,dot, dot and Welcome Christmas stamps, Newsprint DSP, Real Red ink pad and some gold thread.

Christmas Bauble

I really like this card for it’s more contemporary feel: Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Whisper White and Real Red CS, Crumb Cake Seem binding, Contempo Christmas Stamp and Punch and finally some White embossing powder. Its my current favourite.

Now a quick word regarding Paleo – having ‘fallen off the wagon’ a little whilst on holiday I have got right back to Paleo on my return and let the three pounds  put on whilst away and another two pounds on top of that! So thats a total of 1stone and 10lbs that I have lost in total. I am so pleased with the way this eating makes me feel. I never feel bloated or tired after eating a meal any more and am totally loving all the salads and vegetables I am eating. If you are interested in this head over to Robb Wolfs web page here and check out what I keep banging on about.

And finally, back to Mid summer Stamp Camp! There is so much to do to prepare for the Stamp Camp and I have enlisted the assistance of my family to get things done – Yes, girls, we will check the class bags thoroughly before we start next Saturday, Yes I will have spares with me for those missing items! I am really looking forward to the camp and hope to see so many of your there too as well as some new faces too! I have some fun stuff for us to do as well as getting down to it with the crafting!

So until next time, remember to stamp your place in the world! xxx

Creativity…Stamp Camp…Sneak Peaks

So, it has been a busy weekend. I am without children, they have been down south visiting with my Dad who is bringing them back on Monday. It has been very, very quiet without them. I have to confess that although I moan about the noise and the mess etc I have missed them heaps.
But, it has meant that I have been able to get on with some crafting and some organising for crafting. It also meant that two of my pals were able to come over for a crafting session on Saturday afternoon which was great fun! We got loads done – yep my makes will feature here this week! – we managed to inspire each other with mini challenges. Here is a picture of last weeks challenge from my upline, Emma. The challenge was to use Bashful Blue and Cherry Cobbler card stock.
20110718-122733.jpg I ran the bashful blue through the BigShot in a folder and edge the cherry cobbler with versa mark before coating with gold embossing powder. I tore a small piece of DSP and scrunched it up before using my dauber to edge it in Early Esspresso. The Key stamp is from Artistic Etchings, a set I havent used very much, yet! And naturally, I finished off with a little seem binding ribbon in Marina Mist.
So, no.1, here is another challenge for you. My pal Jen has issued us a challenge incorporating both stamp sets and colour, but I think for you we will stick with Jen’s stamp challenge. What I would like you to do is use a stamp in a way that is unusual. So for instance you might have a stamp that you could repeat and turn into a snow flake. I think you get the idea. Email them to me and I will post them on here.
Next up is….drum roll…..STAMP CAMP!!! Yeah! I have been bowled over by the response to this and am delighted to be sending out the first batch of invitations for the Mid Summer Stamp Camp tomorrow. There are still spaces available at the moment on the Saturday session but the Tuesday one is filling up fast so don’t wait around, get that PayPal button in the top right hand corner pressed, email me your postal address and get your place booked! It’s going to be loads of fun, there are spot prizes and a raffle as well- can’t tell you what the prizes are going to be yet, that would spoil the fun!
And finally a quick sneak peak….

20110718-122919.jpg Naturally, because this is a sneak peak, I can’t tell you anything yet about how I made this card. But you will get to find out at the Stamp Camp!
Until next time, don’t forget to stamp your place in the world! Xxx

YeeeHAA!  and a very long awaited HELLOOOO to you all!  it has been a hectic week since we got back from sunnier climes and Lo! and Behold but it is lovely weather here too!  Well it was until this afternoon anyway!

I am in the process of crafting at the moment so don’t have anything to show just now – I will have before the weekend is out and also a small challenge for you too!  But what I do have is some very exciting news!

It is with GREAT delight that I announce the

So what’s it all about? I hear you ask…well….
We are going to be making 4-6 cards, a scrapbook page and at least one 3d Project!  We have some superb rooms arranged with terrific lighting and lots of space. There will be a raffle and lots of spot prizes.

How much is it going to cost? It appears to be a little more expensive but when you consider we normally pay around £10 for a two hour class you will see that this is real value for money: it is a six hour plus class, tea, coffee and pastries are provided (but you can still bring goodies in if you wish – you know they are always gratefully received!) and the BEST bit of all….YOU GET TO KEEP THE STAMP SET we are featuring in the stamp camp. How cool is that? So you see it really is great value for money!

How do you book your place? Follow the instructions below.  But beware….there is a cut off date! If you book and pay for your place before Tuesday 26th July your stamp set will be waiting for you on the day. But if you book after that it won’t be here until the following week! You will still able to do the stamp camp but you will have to wait for your stamp set – sorry!

Can I bring a friend? YES! but she/he must book their place separately and forward an address for their invitation to be sent out.

The Venue:   The Campanile Braehead (lots of car-parking! and right next door to the brand new Dobbies Garden Centre)
The Date:      Saturday 30th July
The Time:      10.30 am until 4.30 pm ish!
The Cost:       £30 per person for the day.

BOOK YOUR PLACE  by going to the top right hand corner of my blog page, you will see a PAYPAL button which will allow you to pay me directly for your place.
Once you have made a payment, email me with your home address so that your Invitation can be mailed out to you directly.  You will need this invitation to get into the Stamp Camp and for your raffle!
Can’t make the Saturday?  I am hoping to offer another session on the Tuesday after. If this is of interest to you (and my Tuesday Ladies, I know this is what you were wanting) please make sure in your email you say that you need a Tuesday session please! I need 10 ladies to make the tuesday Stamp Camp viable.
If you haven’t already received an email from me about this, email me and make sure I have your correct email address. Any questions – please email me and I will always try to help.

What are you waiting for? Book your session today!

Looking forward to seeing you – and don’t forget to stamp your place in the world! xxx

While I am away….

So I had intended that whilst I was away there would be a couple of posts to keep you going. Sadly, and as I have mentioned previously, my technological abilities are not Keats as good as I think they are! This is one of those occasions.
Fortunately, I do have my iPad with me and was able to spot that my expected posts actually hadn’t posted. So I am going to attempt to post from my iPad out here in the Cape Verde Islands. Bear with me. The Internet here is sketchy at best and very expensive at worst!

20110705-092408.jpgThis first pic is the view across from our hotel room, nice huh?! It is lovely here but quite windy and unfortunately, I managed to burn on the first day despite liberally lathering in factor 30! My eyes swelled up and I looked like I had done ten rounds with Joe Bugner!
Okay, onto some crafting! I do have some crafting stuff I can share with you despite being all this far away.
These two following cards are part of a set I began before I came away, they feature gorgeous citrus colours and the fantastic Build a Blossom stamp set which fortunately also features a handy punch cos that is am awful lot of leaves!

I don’t think I have posted these cards before. Now something rather exciting! I have managed to find a craft class. Yep right here is the Cape Verde Islands, a craft class! I have learnt a new technique as well, something rather exciting and that I think not only will you love but will make a fantastic class for christmas! I cannot wait to show it to you, but you will have to wait-sorry!
Right until next time remember to stamp your place in the world! Xxx
