Wow! What a day!….a little VSN YeeHaw!…. Something New….what Lorraine is doing next….

Good Evening Girls!  I have so much to share with you I hardly know where to start! but I think the best place is with a few pics – these are from the AMAZING day a the Campanile Hotel where I held my very first Stampin’ Up Mid Summer Stamp Camp!  And what a day it was! Lots of lovely ladies turned up and we had a full day crafting and stamping…And they got to take the stamp set we featured home with them too! How Cool!

So the ladies made 7/8 cards, a scrap book page and a 3d project! We had coffee, tea and pastries and home made tablet (thank you very much Gillian!) and lots other chocolatey goodies (thank you Tracey and Theresa!) Am I going to show you what we made? NO! not yet because we are doing it all again tomorrow!

So as many of you know I follow Splitcoast Stampers, this weekend was Virtual Stamp Night Rodeo theme! I love taking part in these – my crafting and creativity usually goes skywards, I don’t know whether it is because you get a theme and loose direction or whether it is because you only have 45 minutes to complete the task! But what ever it is my creativity increases and I always love the things I make under this self inflicted pressure. I only managed two creations out of six this weekend but I am marking my diary for the next one which is the end of August!

Rodeo VSN - Grand Entrance

Everything I used in the two cards came from my scrap box so I have no idea’s about what products have been used. There is most definitely some Stampin’ Up card stock in there and I used my Nestabilities die cutters too.

VSN Rodeo - Sequins

In this card we had to use sequins which stumped me a little! I wasn’t sure I even had any! anyway I did have this delightful cowboy stamp from Moorhead stamps, I just paper pieced it in girly colours, and had drew some longer hair to make it a little more girly. The background is brayered (still needs practice!) the fence and grass is hand drawn and the ‘lasso’ is some string I had in my bits box! I kind of like this card, I think it has a simple cuteness about it that I wasn’t expecting! YeeHaw!  Looking forward to the next one!

So for something entirely new! My friend Emma has launched her new blog today and she has CANDY! not sure what that means? it means she has a give way which is always good news! You can visit Emma’s blog page here and if you leave her a comment you will be entered for her bog candy give away. What are you waiting for?

What’s next I hear you shout? well, my youngest is back to school very soon so that means back to school for me and my lovely ladies. Our Simply Stamping Classes will commence again around 20th of the month so keep your eyes peeled for more details! I will be back later in the week with more Stamp Camp photo’s, some more makes and hopefully more news!

Until next time don’t forget to stamp your place in the world! xxx
