So we had our Stampdelicious Gals Summer Mini Launch Party last saturday and what a great time we had! I am delighted to say that Jan Thomson won the First prize int he raffle – there a pic of her coming up with he lovely goodies! But here are some pics from the event….
We had a fabulous Make and Take table stocked and staffed by Carolyn Hunter. She had the girls making a super Post-it note Match book which incorporated gorgeous satin Real Red Ribbon as well as lovely butterflies using the embosslits! Well Done! Carolyna dn thank you! We also had a fabulous Samples desk which was stocked by all the girls. We met for a crop night and everyone made the samples which showed off the amazing and beautiful Stampin Up products we were showcasing – Thank you to Absolutely Everyone who helped out! You were BRILLIANT! here are some pics of those tables….
What an amazing lot of girls they are! and we rounded off the day with a little crafting for ourselves too! Perfect!
Okay on to something completely different! As you will recall some weeks back I committed to getting fitter and healthier …..Well on sunday just gone I took part in the Ignis Asset Ladies 10k race round Glasgow and Bellahouston Park. When we arrived (My Beloved came with me for support!) the weather wasn’t too bad, very windy and cold but ok. Just shortly prior to the start of the race the rain came, and came and came and came! Sideways at some points! I was totally drenched. Now some folk love running in the rain – not me! I end up with a nasty cold within days and find it hard to shake them off! However, I did mange to complete the course and was please to do so in 1:30:18 so no Paula Radcliffe but you know what? I loved it! every single step of the way I loved it! Now I did run for a charity and my chosen one was the Erskine Home for War Veterans and if you would like to donate for this amazing cause you can do – the link to the Just Giving site is: http://www.justgiving.com/Lorraine-Harrison-Rogers
I havent torn up any trees with my fund raising but I know that charity will be happy to receive any amount at all as it all goes to helping someone who has been prepared to stand up and protect this country – Thank you to all of them.
Ok – we had our first crop last Tuesday night and it was brilliant – there were seven of us there, some of us had a spot of tea and we got on a crafted, lots of chatter and a lovely time was had by all! This is not a teaching event and is open to ANYONE to come along and join us. Everyone is welcome. We will be holding our next one on Tuesday 5th of June at Table Table, Phoenix Park, Linwood. all you need to do is bring your project along and get crafting. There is no charge for the Crop but you are responsible for your own drinks etc – food and drink MAY NOT be brought onto the premises I am afraid. If you need Cuttleug or Big shot for your current project or other bigger equipment just email me the day before and if I have it, I will bring it!
And Finally…..I haven’t yet finalised the dates for June’s craft classes but will try to get it sorted in the next couple of days. We will be having our usual Technique Tornado Day, our Technique Tuesdays and of course a Stamp a Stack with our Brand New crop to round the month off – Phew – it’s going to be a busy one!
Until next time remember to stamp your place in the world! xxx
