So Much To Share…So Little Time!

So that’s me back from Paris! And Wow! What a fabulous time we had! The weather was kind, the food was…well French! And the company was brilliant! Want to see some pics? This first one is the finished pile of my swaps. It took ages and I have to confess to roping in my Dad, My Beloved and my good friends Rene and Barbara when they stopped by to visit on the Wednesday….a big thank you all! I couldn’t have done it without you, and a thank you to my good pal Susan Moffatt for all the text encouragement to get them finished!

So what else, well I was part of a bigger group of Gals called the Tartan Stampers, we all live in Scotland you see! So as a group, and including my Beloved and YS, we headed up the Eiffel Tower, but No! Not for us the daylight sights…No! My word, we had to do it at night! It was so beautiful, it was breath taking…but judge for yourself….

20111126-231433.jpg…and the Gals….

20111126-231610.jpg
When we arrived the Eiffel tower began to twinkle and twinkled all the way up and all the way down! It was magical!

20111126-231834.jpg
The next day was all about Disney! We started early and had seven rides done before twelve o’clock…has to be some record!

20111126-232005.jpg. My two new best friends..no really!
So the conference…what was that all about! What a fantastic time, and I have to tell you right here and now, if you were thinking about joining me for next years conference, call me right away because you and I could be working together to go on the 2013 Stampin Up! Incentive trip to Utah! I am so excited about this. Anyone can earn their place! It is not just the top sales people who get to go, it is ANYONE who achieves the required points! And that makes it achievable by all. It is a six day trip, for you and your partner to enjoy time at the home of Stampin Up! and be rewarded for your hard work. I so want to be able to take My Beloved on this trip!
So what else? Any thing to share? Oh! yes! Lots! But just not quite yet! I have seen some amazing new products for us all to use over the next year and I will begin to share them with you shortly before Christmas, but right now….my lips are sealed, enough to say YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!
What else! OH my goodness, I have loads of stuff to photograph and share, but just haven’t had a minute yet, so perhaps I will try and take pictures of a couple of items at a time and share that way with you?

What have I done since I got back? Well I would like to say that I have been resting but I haven’t, I have been making cards to ship to my son at University, here’s the one I have made for his girlfriend….it is a Lily of the Valley stamp coloured in with Coloursoft pencils, and finished with Whisper White Card and Night of Navy card stock, and I have buffed the edges with Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy and Night of Navy ink pads. finally it is topped off with Tiny Tags and rhinestones.

As well as doing these, I have also been finishing my ATCs for the group I am with. This months theme was trees and the colour was Rust. What do you think? A little flat for me I think…

And finally, my favourite pic from Paris….

20111126-233409.jpg. The classic Disney picture with the Magic Castle in the background…my Beloved and my Son having a great time in Disney…..so til next time remember to stamp your place in the world! Xxxx

How hard they work….Ohh! la la! Paris!

So the girls have been working really hard in class lately, not that they don’t normally, but they have been doing exceptionally well! Here’s how they did….

20111116-111519.jpg this was our 3d homework, the girls had a template to work with and had to finish and decorate their boxes….

20111116-111641.jpg. Everyone’s was different, but all had worked hard using different techniques to decorate….

20111116-111739.jpg aren’t they just wonderful?
So last Saturday, I did an emergency dash to Arbroath. A lovely lady had got a charity event booked and unfortunately her demo was unable to make it. My pal Lorraine McOrmack and myself stepped in. Headed out to Arbroath and had a wonderful afternoon with the hostess Liz Ballantyne and around eighteen other crafting ladies. It was an amazing afternoon, we had loads of crafting, a scrap book page….

20111116-112109.jpg which was quite challenging for me! And a beautiful Christmas card from the other Lorraine. My apologies for not having a pic of that, it really was elegant, and I will try and get one. The ladies and Liz kept Lorraine and I well supplied with tea and cake all afternoon and what’s more exciting they have invited us to go back too! So a big thank you to everyone who we met for making us so very welcome and we are already excited for our next visit! Thanks to Lorraine also for dropping everything to head out with me and help me save the day!
Time for some more makes from my girls…

20111116-112532.jpg. The brief for this homework was to put the timer on and make a card in 30 minutes or less including getting your equipment out. Didn’t they do well?

20111116-112725.jpg. I ove very thing these girls do, they are quick a talented bunch…

I just have a little time before I head off to work and thought I would share the work my girls have been doing for their homework in out Tuesday classes. I love Tuesday’s. From the minute I get up it is all go until around two o’clock when I take one of my ladies home, the journey to her house while we are chatting is when I calm down. It’s a great journey and we put the world to rights all the way there! Okay, less chat, more pics….

20111104-092812.jpg these are all done by the ladies. Each week they are given ‘homework’ usually a 3d project for them to finish, they can finish it how they wish but preferably with some form of stamping involved.

20111104-093009.jpg. Aren’t they just lovely?

20111104-093046.jpg I just love all the different ways the ladies finish their work, all start the same but everyone different! And this was this weeks home work.

20111104-093144.jpg. Some more amazing items made.

20111104-093236.jpg.

20111104-093259.jpg. I am so lucky to have these girls in my classes, they are all such an amazing and talented group and they all seem to get on really well together too which is always good news!
You may remember from earlier posts that I am heading to Paris in about two weeks for an amazing craft convention at Disneyland Paris for Stampin Up! I cannot believe that it is only two weeks away, I have around 150 swaps to do for this and I have currently got one made! It is my prototype and it is from that one that I will model the others on, but goodness me! What’s the chances of any sleep in the next couple of weeks? I can’t share my swap with you just yet but I will do very soon – its all hush hush!
I also realised yesterday that I hadn’t finished my ATCs, I belong to a group down south who send in six ATCs to a theme – this one is pearls and buttons – and we receive six back. It’s loads of fun and really good for inspiration too. The one I belong to is run by my good friend Tracey Jackson at Running with Scissors in Grimsby. Check out her website, she does the most amazing projects! you can also join the ATC group by clicking on Tracey’s name above and heading to the forum for ATCs – they are a very friendly bunch I can assure you!
What else to tell hhmm? Maybe a card or two to share?

20111104-094257.jpg. Well not exactly a card, but a mini book I covered to display at the SECC recently. I used so saffron and very vanilla card stock and the beautiful Everything Eleanor stamp set, I can see me using this set for a long time to come, I finished this with vellum butterflies and pearls.

20111104-094502.jpg. And finally a card – this is the one we made in class this last week, it uses ribbon folding which is really cool, we also used Old Olive and Very Vanilla card stock, the new Holly Berry Christmas DSP and some Real Red ribbon to finish. Easy, quick and effective!
Okay, I guess that’s it for this post so don’t forget to stamp your place in the world! Xxx

SECC….Some things I made for SECC….Classes

Well hello there! Long time no see, speak or hear! I have been prepping like a demon for the Craft show at the SECC here in Glasgow and do I have some fabulous pics for you! Most of this post will be taken up with pictures I suspect….so lets get started.

Setting up for SECC

So this is Evelyn as we were finishing setting up for the show. Doesn’t it look fabulous? We were so proud of how wonderful it looked!  It was so cold in there, mind you, all the main doors were open and it felt as if there were a gale blowing through! The girls at the show were Evelyn, Lorraine McC, Maggie, Dawn, Fiona and myself. It was a brilliant experience and incredibly enjoyable.

Three of the girls

This gives a slightly better shot across the stand – it was so colourful and well laid out.

Smiling Make and Take Ladies

These are some of the lovely ladies we met who are doing the make and take – is that you sat there?  So what did we have on the stand? Well Fiona made a beautiful Christmas wreath – no pic I am afraid as this is an upcoming class piece! but if you visited with us you will know exactly how lovely it was! We had halloween trees, Ghosts, bats, bags and….what did I make? Oh! I thought you would never ask!

Petal Cone Die cut, Fun Flowers Die cut

I made these cute flowers in a pot using the Petal Cone die and the Fun Flowers die – both exclusive to Stampin Up! This is so cool, it fold flat to go in the post! No I didn’t believe it either.

Petal Cone Die, Scalloped Lacey Punch

I would love to call this my own design but I have to confess it is CASE’d! The delightful Monica Gale showcased this on her blog a couple of weeks ago and I copied it for our stand. It was remarkably easy to make and looked stunning in Stampin Up sparkly paper.

Everything Eleanor

This lovely wee book is made using the Brand New Everything Eleanor stamp set, I added some vellum butterflies using the Embosslits folder too! I confess to being exceptionally proud anytime someone picked this up!  All in all we had an amazing time!  and I totally enjoyed talking to all the lovely ladies who came to our make and take or just popped by to say hello – Fantastic and thank you to you all for making it so successful for us!

Ok – I think that just about covers everything for today – I will be back later in the week with some more pictures and I really must get on with my swaps for Paris – Oh Yes!  Did I mention I am heading to Paris in a couple of weeks?
