Phew …. I nearly missed it!

Goodness me but I got so wrapped up in the Olympics I almost forgot to tell you about next weeks Technique Tornado Day!

Technique Tornado Day – Sat 18th August – Table Table, Pheonix Park, Linwood – 10.00 AM  Start…..What are we making? OOOOH! well this months delight is chosen by Lynne who wanted to make a mini book or album…..so we are making two!  The first is designed by the lovely Bekka Prideaux (link here). When I first saw this it was done by Bekka in lovely Christmas papers from a couple of seasons ago, all I have done is update the paper….

Thank you so much Bekka! ( if you are wondering at the camera angles – well that is me trying to be clever (!) and give you snippets and tasters of these delicious projects!)

The next is an album and was given to me by the lovely and talented Fiona Duthie (link here). The first time I made this I was terrified as it seemed so complicated.  I have made severa dozen since then and love it. I am no longer terrified by it and find it one of the easiest albums to make now. It is so impressive and lends itself to any occasion.

I know that Fiona has made lots of these too including both wedding and Christmas albums. It really is delicious. Thank you to you too Fiona (or Princess Fiona as she is crafting royalty!).

If you would like to join us for these two brilliant makes then either drop me an email at stampdelicious@gmail.com or use the little Technique Tornado Day Paypal button up there on the right hand side. You will be made very welcome!

Phew – cant believe I nearly missed it – clearly I am NOT as fast as Usain Bolt!  Havent the olympics been fantastic? It is all so very nearly over and I wonder what I will be doing at seven o’clock each night next week? Well, I have a bit of an idea what I might be doing…

Until next time….remember to stamp your place in the world! xxxx

Crop and Going Green…..

Okay so have just spent last two days gutting my house from top to bottom and STILL there is too much stuff and I havent even started on my craft room! Seriously, we have gathered some baggage since we have been in this house,  lots of stuff as the boys have grown and things we have acquired as a relationship ourselves.  So many memories…

Okay – this would have been posted yesterday but unfortunately we had heavy electric storms which knocked out the internet for our village – very unusual!

CROPTuesday night this coming week – August 7th 7.00pm at Table Table, Pheonix Park Linwood – anyone wanting Bigshot etc – I will be taking it and if anyone needs particular punches, dies cuts etc, please let me know and I will take them – you can email me on stampdelicious@gmail.com.

I am still inspiring my MoJo – which is beginning to come back so have chosen another challenge – this one is Crafts and Me Challenges (link here) and the theme is Green with Envy!  Let me know what you think – yup it is coloured with my Promarkers and Copics combined as I didnt have sufficient greens in any particular make.

I used Whisper White card stock as I find that works best with both types of pen and Basic Black as well as the SU lacy punch. I cut round the image and added dimensionals beneath to give it some lift and was liberal with the sparkly sprinkles. The image came from Crafts and Me which found totally delightful.

Right off to find another challenge to get me going before I head into the Christmas onslaught….

Mojo Re-Surfacing….Mojo Re-Surfacing….

Okay, in an effort to re kindle my Mojo I have been over to my good pal Susan’s blog – you can visit here – where she has a fabulous list of challenges and when they are available. So to challenge myself and kick start my depleted Mojo. Today I am submitting to the TiddlyInks blog challenge. I went over to look around and totally fell in love with the wonderful and quirky stamps that you can find in their stamp shop.  I promptly went over and chose a digi stamp and tis is what I came up with.  I hope that you like it.

The Papers are My Minds Eye Ginger collection. I coloured the image with my ProMarkers. The sentiment – one of my favourites – says “The guardian angels of life fly so high as to be beyond our sight, but they are always looking down on us” by Jean Paul richter.  I have to say I like to thikk there is someone looking down on me and my family and keeping us safe from the worlds harm.  We have been having a pretty tough time for the little while and there is real sign of light on the horizon yet. But we have each other and the where withall to keep trying and hoping it will improve. This little digi image is my guardian angel and I am hoping some of the angel dust she is sprinkling is going to come our way real soon. We will just keep trying to move forward until it does…

Until next time remember to stamp your place in the world. xxxx
